tween heart

I knew this blooming beauty when she was just a young child. Her momma and I were good friends. But I moved away, and time just slipped away... Thankfully, we were able to find communication ablities through facebook...and I've gotten the privledge of takeing pictures more than once of the once babies, now almost teen young ladies. WOW. How time flies.

Adventures in PeeWee Football...

I was asked to come take pictures of my dear friend Roxy's little linebacker Marco. WHAT AN ADVENTURE! I haven't ever had the opportunity to shoot sports. It's really quite the experience. I have never been down on the football field while a game was in session. I walked into a cheerleader. I backed up into a couple of the PeeWee players while i had my camera stuck to my face. I walked over to one side, and walked back to the other. I just didn't belong on that field. Not on the grass part anyways. But gosh, did i ever have fun. I was cheering. I was silently competing for the better shot with the guy from the news paper. The hardest part of the shoot was staying out of the way of the players. But little Marco. What a little bulldozing lineman. I was blown away at the abilities that Marco possessed at age 7. After capturing break throughs and tackels and positions in line... I dubbed him a nickname...I started thinking to myself: "common Bull Dozer". "Your doing great, Little Bull Dozer." He's incredible! I hope his momma askes me to take more pictures of this guy. What an adventure. And I'm so proud of how his pictures turned out.

Visiting the "Sunflower State"

My maternal side of the family decided to hold a family reunion in the downtown part of Wichita, Kansas. What a breath taking part of town. We are at the Hotel at Old Town. What an exceptional Hotel. I'm not ashamed to say that when my family goes somewhere, we normally look for a Best Western, somewhere stayable, but affordable. We don't do nice like this! Everywhere I step out to, Is a photographic opportunity. I get the awesome-est pleasure of taking some Senior Pictures for my cousin Kit. She is a DOLL! And i seriously cannot wait to post some of the outcome... You guys stay posted!!!

Brand New Key... or Blog =)

Hello there! I am so glad you have taken time to stop by and view my blog. Ha.. my BLOG! I have wanted to do a blog for quite some time, however I just haven't taken the time to sit down and create one. Recently I stepped out of my circle, and from the amazing support of my foundational family, I started a little side business of Photography. I love to snap pictures of the moments in my everyday life. I knew I loved photography from a super young age.. but when I picked up my digital Pentax SLR camera, I knew I was in love, and I was for sure that I wanted to do more than just take snapshots. So here I am. I created a BLOG!! I plan to share the highlights of my adventures with my new friends. I hope you see the love, and the artistic flare I put into each and every one of my pictures. With time, I will get use to the blog scene. I cannot wait to hear from you, read your comments... Share some of the most important parts of my life with you! Here's to new ventures. Happy days. A new BLOG!!!
